The truth about me
Guo Feng is not patient and he is not kind.
Guo Feng does envy, does boast and is proud.
Guo Feng is rude (at times), self-seeking, is easily angered and he keeps record of wrongs.
Guo Feng does delight in evil (at times) but does not always rejoices with the truth.
Guo Feng does not always protects/trusts/hopes/perseveres.
BUT...Guo Feng knows Jesus and Jesus is all of that he isn't.
With Jesus, Guo Feng can change all that.

Why would anyone want to be atheist?"The way you are feeling right now is why I have to believe in something bigger than me...because if I didn't, that powerlessness will eat me alive."
- Dr. Preston Burke, fictional character from Grey's Anatomy
I guess things don't turn out the way we think it should be is s sign that we are not as capable as we think we are. It all goes to show that even as we seem to have all things planned out, there is bound to be certain factors that we cannot dictate. All these points to the fact that we are at the mercy of a higher power, a higher power which exist beyond what the human mind can perceive.
If anyone chooses to shut himself off from the knowledge of the existence of the higher power, then he loses hope as there would be a time where situations goes beyond human control. Contrary to popular belief, powerlessness is not a sign of weakness. By believeing in a higher power doesn't mean that you are weak, it actually means that you know of things beyond your limits and control. Acknowledging that fact is a form of courage, but it only means that you know that things go beyond you and you still can't overcome it.
Knowing about God is one thing, knowing God is another. First by acknowledging you can be powerless at times and secondly seeking ways in which you can be empowered in such situations by knowing the factor behind the unknown, only then can you overcome situations in which you feel powerless. This involves an element of faith, which is not taking blind chances. Faith is a calculated step, it is an informed choice because you must first know the reason why you can take that chance. How we know the reason is because we know God, not just as the creator and all powerful one, but also in an intimate relationship as a personal friend.
Thus, through having a personal relationship with God and having faith in Him, an individual can have the ability to overcome things in which might seem to be overpowering him.

All I want for Christmas is you...to get to know HimDoes Anybody Hear Her by Casting Crowns
She is running
A hundred miles an hour in the wrong direction
She is trying
But the canyon's ever widening
In the depths of her cold heart
So she sets out on another misadventure just to find
She's another two years older
And she's three more steps behind
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
Or does anybody even knows she's going down today
Under the shadow of our steeple
With all the lost and lonely people
Searching for the hope that's tucked away in you and me
Does anybody hear her? Can anybody see?
She is yearning
For shelter and affection
That she never found at home
She is searching
For a hero to ride in
To ride in and save the day
And in walks her prince charming
And he knows just what to say
Momentary lapse of reason
And she gives herself away
If judgement looms under every steeple
If lofty glances from lofty people
Can't see past her scarlet letter
And we never even met her hmmm...u may or may not identify with the lyrics of the song...
you might say you are not running...but in fact you are
running but not in the literal sense -- drowning yourself in drinks/smokes/etc., searching for a lifestyle that you may not even identify with, hiding behind a mask in your social circle, trying so hard to identify with a group of friends that you end up losing yourself, buying things for yourself to fill up that emptiness that you can't seem to fufill...
you can't seem to stand loneliness, no one can...
you seek companionship, but people all will disappoint from time to time
you seek freedom, but ended up being held bondage to things (debts? addiction? habits?)
then, you think to yourself, no one can be trusted so you brace the storms of life youself, but ended up wounded with no one to turn to...
christmas is coming...i don't want you (yes you...whoever that is reading this post) to miss out on this chance to receive to greatest gift ever, which I have done so myself in the christmas of '04
christmas has lost its essence over the years...because people forget the Christ in christmas...i want you to get to know Him this december -- attend church (anyone, may not be the church i belong to..might be your friend's, relative's,whoever)...ask a believer friend about it...anything to find out more about your saviour, and your may just find spending your best christmas ever!
